Stroll through the history of Extraordinary Women in Art with the NOMA Mobile Guide.

The Extraordinary Women in Art  NOMA Mobile Guide  was created as a partnership with Nola4Women as part of the 2018 New Orleans Tricentennial Celebration. This tour explores contributions by female artists and the inspirational aspects of women throughout art history as represented in the collection of the New Orleans Museum of Art.  The NOMA Mobile Guide  helps visitors explore works of art from the museum’s collection.  The guide is interactive and is best accessed through a smartphone or tablet device.  The NOMA Mobile Guide  also allows guests to plan their visit to the museum, learn about upcoming events, and share their NOMA experience through social media.

The New Orleans Museum of Art is delighted to participate as a Nola4Women partner.  As a partner organization, NOMA will present Extraordinary Women and the Shaping of a Modern Museum on Friday, October 19, 2018 at 7.00pm.   Susan M. Taylor, Montine McDaniel Freeman Director of the New Orleans Museum of Art, will moderate a lively panel of modern day philanthropists and representatives of philanthropic organizations discussing how extraordinary women have helped shape NOMA's collection and mission from the museum's founding to the present day.
