I'dor V'dor, Generations of Jewish Women Leading New Orleans
This exhibition will focus on how Jewish women moved from their homes and religious training to help build the social infrastructure of the city from the late 1800s to the present. Through photos, oral histories, and archival records, viewers will be introduced to the inter-generational mentorship of women working in welfare, immigration, civil rights, reproductive rights, the arts, and the public landscape. Join them particularly for programs related to the exhibition: A CONVERSATION WITH Philanthropists Tamara Kreinin, Beth Lavin, Sandy Levy and Linda Usdin on April 17 FROM 5 TO 7PM, and A Poetry Evening remembering Maxine Cassin with poets Gina Ferrara, Malaika Favorite, Ralph Adamo, Laurie Williams, and others on April 24 FROM 5 TO 7PM.
