Allison Miner: Musicians' Advocate and Jazz Fest Founder

Musicians’ advocate, crusader for cultural preservation, event producer, artist manager and Jazz Fest co-founder, Allison Miner was the subject of a pair of events honoring her legacy. This included “Reverence,” a 1997 documentary directed by Amy Nesbitt, and a panel discussion with Stafford Agee, a member of the Rebirth Brass Band, a group that Miner managed; Mary Len Costa, who was a close friend of Miner’s; documentarian Amy Nesbitt; and one of Miner’s sons, Jonathan Kaslow.
