African American Women Teachers in New Orleans

Le Musée de F.P.C. with Amistad Research Center

This historic house museum, one of the country's few attractions dedicated exclusively to preserving the material culture of and telling the story of free people of color, presents an exhibition on African American women teachers in New Orleans. Photographs and oral histories will allow viewers to explore the part such teachers played in public and private education.
